Industrial hemp has low THC levels compared to marijuana specifically cultivated for personal psychoactive use. Whereas marijuana that can be smoked usually contains between five and ten percent THC, industrial hemp contains about one-tenth of that. In order to get a psychoactive effect, one would need to smoke ten or twelve hemp cigarettes over a very short period of time.
The human body has an endocannabinoid system — a natural system that maintains homeostasis or balance, in the body. The endocannabinoid system has CB1 and CB2 receptors. These are found throughout the body. CB1 receptors are generally located in the central and peripheral nervous system and CB2 receptors are generally found in the brain, immune system, and gastrointestinal system. CBD binds to these receptors creating changes and effects in the body

There is a lot to be hopeful for as legalization marches forward and as cannabis becomes more widely accepted for its medicinal purposes. Unfortunately, with cannabis and CBD still listed as schedule one substances, research is limited and many medical professionals still remain in fear to discuss or endorse medical cannabis for something like cancer. As of March 2015, over 15,000 patients in the state of Colorado reported severe nausea or cancer as their reporting condition for their medical card. Organizations like Project CBD, Realm of Caring, and CannaKids provide resources and connect families who seek cannabinoid therapy for their illnesses. According to a 2016 estimate by procon.org, there are over 2.5 million medical marijuana users in the United States. This number grows every year as more states legalize access to medical cannabis and it’s becoming harder for the mainstream medical community to ignore this growing group of people.
That’s why, when it comes to purchasing CBD products, you need to know what to look out for before you start browsing. Do you know which companies have a reputation for producing low-quality versus high-quality CBD products? Do you know which lab results you should ask to see? Or which manufacturing certifications point to quality practices being adhered to?
“The need for enhanced bioavailability of the CBD phytonutrient is paramount”, adds Moriarity, “but tricky to accomplish without synthetic chemicals.” Most CBD products do not offer any bioavailability optimization, so 90 percent of the CBD is lost to first-pass effect, a phenomenon of drug metabolism whereby the concentration of a drug is greatly reduced before it reaches systemic circulation.
Upon investigation there are companies that engage in the use of “window dressing.” For example, one popular brand brags that they use the superfood moringa. This of course lures people in. But keep in mind that for added antioxidant benefit, you would need to ingest 7.5 g (7,500 mg) within the context of a meal or beverage. The entire 30 ml bottle of said brand contains 33.3 mg; so at the recommended dose of 1 ml daily, the daily dose of moringa would only be 1.11 mg.
There’s also been a lot of talk lately about “microdosing” CBD. This refers to an incremental process of finding your minimum effective dose. You can do this with any concentration of CBD oil, but lower concentrations will take longer. In a 2017 article in Rolling Stone, Dr. Dustan Sulak outlines his protocol for microdosing. You can begin this process by asking yourself three questions:
If you Google “buy CBD oil” right now you’ll get more than 5,950,000 results, but you know what’s curious? Most of these producers and distributors offer no tangible evidence to support the claim that their products are the best. Surely, lower prices are more attractive, but if I were you, I would think twice before picking the cheap CBD oil over the high quality one.

A lot of research and trial prove the fact that cannabidiol oil can help to relieve chronic pain. People suffering from diseases from chronic pain, such as fibromyalgia have reported experiencing a relief with cannabidiol oil. CBD oil can also provide a long-term pain relief and ward off the degeneration of the nervous system. CBD oil has been used in Canada for cancer pain and multiple sclerosis.

The cannabis plant has been at the center of worldwide controversy in recent years, as restrictive cannabis policies are starting to shift toward more compassionate medical and recreational use laws. This patchwork of change, however, has created a confusing and often contradicting set of cannabis policies, making it difficult to know exactly where you stand when trying to access cannabis where you live. Here we answer some common questions about who can purchase CBD hemp oil products and where.
For those customers looking to balance cost and potency, three of our popular brands, RSHO™, Dixie Botanicals®, and Cibdex®, carry a line of CBD hemp oil capsules with a moderate 25 mg of CBD per capsule. CBD oil has become the general term used when referring to these different oils, but while they derive from the same plant, they are actually quite different. Cannabis CBD oil sometimes contains high quantities of THC (between 5%-10% or even higher), while hemp CBD oil usually contains less than 2% THC. Industrial hemp, on the other hand, contains even less THC (under 0.3%), and therefore can be sold, bought, consumed and shipped legally in some U.S. states.
Why don’t pharmaceutical companies want to see CBD help the general public? If they’re after our general welfare and health, wouldn’t they want any sort of cure to make its way into our hands? Why we know so little about the benefits of CBD Oil? Find out more about CBD treatments, CBD legal status, where to buy CBD Oil, how to recognize high-quality CBD Oil and how to use this pure hemp extract on our Hemp, Health and Wellness Blog.
When you are purchasing CBD Oil Products, you have two options: Full Spectrum CBD or Isolated (regular) CBD. Full Spectrum CBD, as Hemp Oil, contains every Cannabinoid present in the Hemp (Cannabis Sativa) plant. This means Cannabidiol, Cannabicyclol, Tetrahyrdocannabivarin, and Cannbichromevinaric acid, to name a few. In Full Spectrum CBD Oil, there is nothing held back or left out. On the other side CBD Isolate contains pure CBD compound, which has a more flexible legal status as well no taste, color or strong odor as Full Spectrum CBD Oil.

I would recommend always going with a full spectrum oil. Some people say to use nothing but pure 100% CBD, but if you do a little research you’ll see that most doctors will say that the full-spectrum products with terpenes etc are much more potent and effective. I would only use the CBD isolate if I was concerned about an upcoming drug test (full spectrum has trace amounts of THC in it)

While CBD is capable of aiding in so many conditions, there are limits to its abilities. It is therefore vital that you know what CBD is and what it can do before you go shopping for some yourself. Many of the less trustworthy vendors of CBD oil will claim that it can do just about anything! If you’ve done your research, though, you will know that this is not exactly true, and you can save yourself a whole lot of time and money.
In short, Cannabidiol – or CBD – is a cannabis compound that has many therapeutic benefits. Usually extracted from the leaves and flowers of hemp plants – though marijuana can also be a source – CBD oil is then incorporated into an array of marketable products. These products vary from the most common, like sublingual oils and topical lotions, to the less common (think CBD lattes). Basically, if you can dream it, you can buy it.
Although it is legal to manufacture products containing cannabidiol (CBD) from naturally low-THC hemp here in the U.S., it is still largely illegal to grow hemp in America, with small exceptions being made for pilot programs through the 2014 Farm Bill. Therefore, we must import all the hemp oil used in the formulation of our products from international sources.
So what is the science behind these stories? There have been limited scientific studies done on humans in the United States due to the schedule one classification of cannabis. But an emerging body of studies have shown the potential for cannabis and CBD’s antitumor effects and research from nations unblocked by government restrictions, like Israel, is making waves in the medical marijuana community.
I am in a pain management program and I was told that they test for cannabiniols across the board so even though there is no THC I could still test positive and be kicked out of the program. This is so unfair because CBC has been the best thing for PTSD anxiety and depression instead they would rather me be on multiple drugs with multiple bad side effects. Even though it’s legal in KY we re still in the dack ages. Any thoughts or help on this I would greatly appreciate how to get around it.
